not too many days left

Hi all from a super, sunny and hot Western Cape, South Africa.

It is only 1 day and a month until 2013!  Where has all the time gone?

I have not cooked anything for the last week!  I hope that this skill is like riding a bicycle?  Once you know how to, you never forget?  I do still know how to ride a bicycle, but my balance is not optimal for cycling these days. So it's Stationery bikes only for me, folks!

I have not been doing much this last week so not much to report about.

I have earned the grand total of R35-40 on my Ad Dynamo account so far (I started using Ad Dynamo in January?), so only another R64-60 and I am eligible for my payment!  Boy I bet Donald Trump is not panicking that I will soon be mega bucks well off?!?  What do you mean you aren't either?  Maybe one day?

I posted yesterday about the weird things the paid for tweets suggest that I can offer advice on.  I know nothing my dear!

Unfortunately this is the end of the road for today's blog postings.  Have a Fantastic Friday further folks.

Hi all!  How is your Thursday?

It is a super sunny and warm day in Blouberg Today.

This morning I was looking at all the paid for tweets that Ad Dynamo places to my Twitter account and boy do I look super intelligent or what?!?  I am offering advise on all sorts of things!  Not me folks, but the company I am advertising for via my paid for tweets!  I cannot give you financial or legal advice but my tweets do say I offer it!  If you need a lawyer or an accountant best to seek somebody else?  Seek and yee shall find!

One has to be careful of what goes on the net with your name on it!  Caused a bit of fuss and nonsense when I mentioned my last two days at Hospice.  I meant for this year (2012) and not for ever!  I got a few emails (10) from fb viewers and my blog followers, enquiring about me leaving SLHPS after 9 years of volunteering there.  No need for the cake or balloons to say cheery bye to me anymore!

I love 90's music I was listening to some this morning.  Fantastic, fantastic, faaantastic!

Anyway that is unfortunately all from me for today.  Have a super week further y'all!

Never

Never assume, or you  make make an ass out of u and me!?

I posted on my fb profile yesterday that today was my second last volunteering day for Hospice. I meant for this year!  However my co-volunteer Pam read my face book posting and when I arrived there today she had told them I was not coming there again!  Silly silly silly?  No!  What one person reads another reads differently.

Saturday Scrible

Same day, different shit?

Hi all!  How is your last Saturday for November 2012?

It rained here this morning, then the sun was out for a short while.  It is overcast and dull, weatherwise here in Bloubergstrand at the moment. But hey the sun will come out tomorrow?

I posted more ads to my ad blog today.  http://myblogsads.blogspot.com

Christmas eve is only a month away?  I love Christmas, it is my favourite time of the year.  It is only ever a month and four days from my Birthday until Christmas, every year!  My nephew Maxi was born on 27 December, 2007 in Amsterdam.  I was in a cold and dull Amsterdam for his birth that year.

The first Christmas, must have been like it is here on Christmas days, hot and sunny.  (Well hopefully it will be this year again?)

The government in South Africa want to remove Christmas Day as a public holiday?!  Why?  We are mostly a  country of Christians.   Christmas day by any other name would not be so jovial? Think of the loss the shops will make?  Nobody will get many gifts as there will be no time to purchase them and for the recipient to enjoy them?  That my theory anyway!

There is an article about the man who exposed the short comings of our president, Jacob Z, in a local magazine.  Good luck?

There is a big rain storm right now, the heavens just opened.  Good for the garden?

That is unfortunately all from me for today's blog postings, have a superb Saturday further folks!

Oh well!

When things go wrong, as they often do!  Change your plans?!?  I started baking a cake this morning, for my friends at St. Luke's Hospice Shop tomorrow  (my Birthday is tomorrow! who forgot?), but it needed another cake adding to it or it would have been too small- so it is going to be my birthday cake instead, nothing like having baked your own Birthday cake!  (I ain't MR Bean) The cake would have cost around R90  (only +/-10 Euros) to make in the end, and then there would have been another cake in the oven, for an hour ,so to cut down on my costs my birthday morning tea items have changed!  Je suis desolet.  (or sorry)  but it's the thought that counts?

Table Mountain Cable Car Gateway on Sunday morning.  I do not know the precise time I took this photo, as it was not noted!  How remiss?!?

Hi all!  How is your Thursday?

It has been a cloudy day with rain here in Blouberg today.  Hopefully there will be sunshine tomorrow!  A birthday without Sunshine would not be as pleasant.  or would it?

On my last blog post whilst I am only 31 years old, I have until 15:30 tomorrow before I have to say I am 32 and loving it?  Remember you are only as old as the man you feel, or something like that?!?

Well unfortunately folks I have typed what I came to post on today's blog posting.  Have a Terrific Tuesday further y'all.

A Monday memo

Ha-ha

The old days of air travel, This photo is of a BOAC Lockheed Constellation at Nairobi Airport in the 1950's

This pic is from My mom's Birthday on 21 September this year
Table Mountain
Hi all!  How is your Monday?

It is a super, sunny and warm day, here in the Western Cape today.

Yesterday my Mom, Marti and I went up Table Mountain, it was  the anniversary of the passing of Marti's husband recently,so we went up the Mountain because he liked Table Mountain.  I have been up Table Mountain 5 times in my life. The first time it was my sister Helen and her friend Geraldine, then the next time Helen's boyfriend, Jonathan Cherry, my mom and I went up.  I went up the mountain for the third time with my sister Claire's friend Andrew and the last time I was there it was last year October with my mom and Aunty Margaret.  It is well worth a visit!  I love it up there, it is so picturesque.  I have to hold on to somebody up there though as the height makes me a bit unstable on my feet.  I sat on a big rock while they went to explore the north side of the mountain.  I have never been there  (the north side of Table Mountain), but the path is a bit steep to the north side of this mountain.  I sat on a big boulder while they went exploring.  One of the official guides on the mountain was telling the tourists that they bring many people in wheelchairs up the mountain, I also learnt a few things from what he was telling them.I was meant to sit on the rock?

After the mountain we drove to Noordhoek and had lunch at Roux's Restaurant  (our Hero and Numptie Award winners for this last week) the week ends on a Sunday!?!  I suppose it depends on which religion you follow?  It is so wonderful there.  Vida e Cafe at The V&A waterfront, for a Cafe Latte was our final stop of the day.

I won R32 on Saturdays Lottery! There I was thinking I had won nothing on this ticket but the Lotto Machine at Pick 'n Pay Eden on the Bay went bling bling and said on the screen "congratulations you are a winner R32-50"

Tomorrow I am going to bake some things for my friends at 248 Blouberg Road, seeing as how this year (well in 2 days from today it is my Birthday!)  my Birthday is on a volunteering Wednesday!  I won't put too many details of exactly what I am making, as a few of them read my blog posts, and we can't let the cat out of the bag!  Mum's the word!

Unfortunately that is all from moi pour ajourdoui folks!  Have a magnificent day further.

Saturday before?

CAT - Clear Air Turbulence

Hi all!  How is your Saturday?

It is a superb, sunny and hot, day here in Blouberg today.

Last night I was watching Undercover Boss on DStv, it was all about the man who owns Diamond Resorts in America.  He is a multi-millionaire but was so generous with his money that he gave to his employees that featured in the show.  I truly believe that any good that you do for your fellow man comes back to you in whatever way.   The same rule applies to any bad?  So always think of others?  and be generous and kind hearted?

David Beckham is apparently a wee bit pissed off by the BA cabin crew?  Why?  Whenever he flies with them a cabin crew member, wakes him up from the flash of their camera as they are taking his photo?  I do not find Mr. Beckham interesting, but he does have a very pleasant nature so I might take his pic if I was a BA FA?  Some go gaga over his looks - please?  He is not my type!?!

The Sky News newspaper reviewers were talking about Pussy Riot and the awful fact that they were jailed for a simple act of protest.  Freedom of Speech Mr. Putin?  They did perform this riot in a Church but laugh a little - it was amusing.

Today it is exactly a month since I flew 11 and a half hours home to Cape Town from Amsterdam.  The FA's on this flight were all pleasant, I found the female FA, who looked a bit like my Aunty Mary, amusing particularly when she put her hand on my shoulder and said "don't get a fright I am coming past you!"  They usually do that for blind passengers, but my mom had told them of my condition, while I was using the lav, shortly after boarding the flight, and the senior purser asked her if I was ok because she saw me getting out of a wheelchair at the aircraft door.

My father lands from MRU (Mauritius) on Wednesday.  He is coming from Perth via Mauritius.  His travel agent recommended this route to Cape Town to him.  All the other flights to Cape Town from OZ go via Jo'burg.  No non-stop flight to CPT why?  You get a free night stopover in Mauritius though?!?

Well unfortunately I have said what I came to type for today!  Have a fantastic day further folks.

The fuel pipeline to OR Tambo has been rendered unfit for use by airlines.

The fuel pipeline to the OR Tambo International Airport has been contaminated and rendered unfit for use by airlines, the Airports Company SA (Acsa), said on Thursday.
"The impact of the contamination on the fuel pipeline is such that approximately seven million litres of fuel, which is currently in storage, is unusable, reducing OR Tambo International Airport's stock levels from four days to 1.6 days," Acsa spokesman Solomon Makgale said in a statement

Cape Town is apparently the most popular holiday destination in the UK at the moment.  (according to a local newspaper)  I was there (in the UK) last month and it was grim and cold, weatherwise, already.  Escape the winter and visit Cape Town?  It is only an 11 and a half  hour flight away!!

Hi all how is your day?
It is a superb, sunny and warm day here in the Western Cape Today.
Somebody who really likes my blogs and their content, wants me to help them to create a blog for their business.  They were told by somebody else (not me)  that they are apparently a super way of marketing your company and what it does?!?  I don't know but I think they might be correct.  I am a one man show and do not have a business so I know nothing my dear!
It's always nice to know that you have fans out there?!?
My Ad Dynamo stats say that I have earned R34-98 since I added them to my blogs in January?  Not a Millionaire yet!  Well one day is one day!  I was using Google's adsense before but what a load of huey they were!  A R10000 payment threshold and claiming that they had to close down my account  for unauthorised click activity on my account.
They lost out?  Always better to think that?
5 days from today and I turn 32. Heck?
Anyway this is the time for me to say adios folks, it's been great having you read my blog posting for today.  Thank you and Dubai  (Emirates ad's slogan used to be hello and Dubai).

????

Thursday before?

Ann and me in the mirror at 248 Blouberg Road Yesterday morning.  Like I said before, there are moments when there are no customers and then they all seem to arrive on mass, and no not a bus pulling up because some of them come in their own car?!  Go figure? In the quite moments I take my pic with somebody, if they are not a customer .

A regular customer at our shop, Deon who is a fire fighter.  I did not see him in this shot!

Hi all!  How is your Thursday?  It is a lovely sunny and warm day here in the Western Cape today.  The wind is blowing quite strongly today, the perfect weather for wind surfing?!?

Tonight I am cooking Rosemary chicken from a recipe in a local magazine. If you would like to make it someday,  Rosemary Chicken Go to New York?

Have a terrific day further folks!

Tuesday Times

It's all about the numbers?

Another one falls out of the closet?

My cousin Tania's Restaurant in Molton, North England.  "The Market Place"  Bistro
Hi all!  How has your Tuesday been?

It is a lovely sunny and hot day here in Bloubergstrand today.

Tomorrow is my final 248 Blouberg Road, St. Luke's Hospice Shop, volunteering Wednesday while I am 31 years old.  The time has just flown by!  I started my hospice volunteering job in 2004,  it will be 9 years of me volunteering my services to them, next year October.  It was only going to be a temporary thing while I found proper employment but somehow my destiny in life is to be an unpaid worker.  I love my "job", I have wanted to give it up many times before, but I can't seem to break the pattern!  It's what the cause is for.  A really good one, at least in my opinion, we make money for the terminally ill who require hospice support.
I can't really work more than half a day a few times a week anyway.  I have had a few jobs but two of the companies I have worked at closed down shortly after my arrival there, and I was only working half day once a week there too.

My father is arriving from Australia next week Thursday.  The day after my big birthday!

Anyway, unfortunately that is all from me for this afternoon's blog postings.  Have a super day further folks.

This bed looks so comfy?

Hello all of you who are reading my blog posting for today.

The day started off cold with rain here, in Bloubergstrand,.  The sun was out for an hour or two but this afternoon it is cloudy and cool once more.  (and as I am reading through my blog post text for today the sun is shining brightly and the clouds have gone!)

Give me sunshine in the month of November?  I know I am repeating myself but how y'all live with that dreadful weather in Europe?  (in and close to the UK)  The rest of Europe like Greece, Portugal, Italy,Spain,Malta and the other Mediterranean countries get gorgeous sun in their summer months too.   Anybody's  guess why you would want to live in the other European countries.

The book bellow has created quite a stir?  (I was baking a Christmas cake this morning, so the word stir is on my mind)

Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey is a 2011 erotic novel by British author E. L. James. Set largely in Seattle, it is the first instalment in a trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism (BDSM).
The second and third volumes are titled Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, respectively. Fifty Shades of Grey has topped best-seller lists around the world, including the United Kingdom and the United States.[1][2] The series has sold 60 million copies worldwide, [3] with book rights having been sold in 37 countries,[4] and set the record as the fastest-selling paperback of all time, surpassing the Harry Potter series.[5] Critical reception of the novel has been mixed
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The newspaper reviewers on Sky News this morning were talking about this book.  Carte Blanche, featured it (this book and the idea we are all into BDSM) too.  I am not into this sort of thing personally but hey  I guess for some people out there the little rhyme, "sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and  chains excite me?" rings true.

This is one of the reasons they banned corporal punishment in South African schools. according to a teacher I met for coffee at Bayside 3 years ago?  Spanking is sexual for both the spanker and their naughty school boy?  I never came up with this theory, so do not take it as my theory?

Romeo, next door's cat, was here earlier today, as he is most days.  He is hilarious.  He likes to sit next to
a cat statue in my home.  Why?  He spends hours there if he is not begging for food or grooming himself for hours.  Why do cats do that?  I read once in a cat book that grooming is self soothing for your cat.

Well unfortunately that is all from moi for today's blog posting folks.  Have a wonderful week.

Hi all!

How is your Sunday?

It was very cloudy and misty this morning and a wee bit cold.  The sun came out at midday but it has disappeared once more this afternoon!  Oh well it is still not too cold.  So that is the one thing we got?  a bit like breakfast at Tiffaney's, it would make a super song?  No?!?

The Chicken Masala recepie I poted to my food blog is super.  Worth a try?

So Kirstie Alley claims John Travolta isn't gay after his recent happenings with massage boys!  Shame there is nothing wrong with asking for a champagne finish to end off your massage with a male masseur?

I added content to 3 of my other blogs today too.

So happy blog following folks!

Have a super Sunday further y'all.

What you said?

Well said Kirstie Alley!  Or not?  Every man is supposedly gay?  Ricky Martin, George Michael and lot's of other "stars"  who have denied their gay side for years, come rolling out of the closet?
