Thursday before?

Ann and me in the mirror at 248 Blouberg Road Yesterday morning.  Like I said before, there are moments when there are no customers and then they all seem to arrive on mass, and no not a bus pulling up because some of them come in their own car?!  Go figure? In the quite moments I take my pic with somebody, if they are not a customer .

A regular customer at our shop, Deon who is a fire fighter.  I did not see him in this shot!

Hi all!  How is your Thursday?  It is a lovely sunny and warm day here in the Western Cape today.  The wind is blowing quite strongly today, the perfect weather for wind surfing?!?

Tonight I am cooking Rosemary chicken from a recipe in a local magazine. If you would like to make it someday,  Rosemary Chicken Go to New York?

Have a terrific day further folks!

Tuesday Times

It's all about the numbers?

Another one falls out of the closet?

My cousin Tania's Restaurant in Molton, North England.  "The Market Place"  Bistro
Hi all!  How has your Tuesday been?

It is a lovely sunny and hot day here in Bloubergstrand today.

Tomorrow is my final 248 Blouberg Road, St. Luke's Hospice Shop, volunteering Wednesday while I am 31 years old.  The time has just flown by!  I started my hospice volunteering job in 2004,  it will be 9 years of me volunteering my services to them, next year October.  It was only going to be a temporary thing while I found proper employment but somehow my destiny in life is to be an unpaid worker.  I love my "job", I have wanted to give it up many times before, but I can't seem to break the pattern!  It's what the cause is for.  A really good one, at least in my opinion, we make money for the terminally ill who require hospice support.
I can't really work more than half a day a few times a week anyway.  I have had a few jobs but two of the companies I have worked at closed down shortly after my arrival there, and I was only working half day once a week there too.

My father is arriving from Australia next week Thursday.  The day after my big birthday!

Anyway, unfortunately that is all from me for this afternoon's blog postings.  Have a super day further folks.

This bed looks so comfy?

Hello all of you who are reading my blog posting for today.

The day started off cold with rain here, in Bloubergstrand,.  The sun was out for an hour or two but this afternoon it is cloudy and cool once more.  (and as I am reading through my blog post text for today the sun is shining brightly and the clouds have gone!)

Give me sunshine in the month of November?  I know I am repeating myself but how y'all live with that dreadful weather in Europe?  (in and close to the UK)  The rest of Europe like Greece, Portugal, Italy,Spain,Malta and the other Mediterranean countries get gorgeous sun in their summer months too.   Anybody's  guess why you would want to live in the other European countries.

The book bellow has created quite a stir?  (I was baking a Christmas cake this morning, so the word stir is on my mind)

Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey is a 2011 erotic novel by British author E. L. James. Set largely in Seattle, it is the first instalment in a trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism (BDSM).
The second and third volumes are titled Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, respectively. Fifty Shades of Grey has topped best-seller lists around the world, including the United Kingdom and the United States.[1][2] The series has sold 60 million copies worldwide, [3] with book rights having been sold in 37 countries,[4] and set the record as the fastest-selling paperback of all time, surpassing the Harry Potter series.[5] Critical reception of the novel has been mixed
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The newspaper reviewers on Sky News this morning were talking about this book.  Carte Blanche, featured it (this book and the idea we are all into BDSM) too.  I am not into this sort of thing personally but hey  I guess for some people out there the little rhyme, "sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and  chains excite me?" rings true.

This is one of the reasons they banned corporal punishment in South African schools. according to a teacher I met for coffee at Bayside 3 years ago?  Spanking is sexual for both the spanker and their naughty school boy?  I never came up with this theory, so do not take it as my theory?

Romeo, next door's cat, was here earlier today, as he is most days.  He is hilarious.  He likes to sit next to
a cat statue in my home.  Why?  He spends hours there if he is not begging for food or grooming himself for hours.  Why do cats do that?  I read once in a cat book that grooming is self soothing for your cat.

Well unfortunately that is all from moi for today's blog posting folks.  Have a wonderful week.

Hi all!

How is your Sunday?

It was very cloudy and misty this morning and a wee bit cold.  The sun came out at midday but it has disappeared once more this afternoon!  Oh well it is still not too cold.  So that is the one thing we got?  a bit like breakfast at Tiffaney's, it would make a super song?  No?!?

The Chicken Masala recepie I poted to my food blog is super.  Worth a try?

So Kirstie Alley claims John Travolta isn't gay after his recent happenings with massage boys!  Shame there is nothing wrong with asking for a champagne finish to end off your massage with a male masseur?

I added content to 3 of my other blogs today too.

So happy blog following folks!

Have a super Sunday further y'all.

What you said?

Well said Kirstie Alley!  Or not?  Every man is supposedly gay?  Ricky Martin, George Michael and lot's of other "stars"  who have denied their gay side for years, come rolling out of the closet?

I got two of our new South African Bank Notes today
I think they are brilliant!

The weather here today.  Glorious!

Hi y'all!  How is your Saturday?  It is a superb, sunny and warm, day here in the Western Cape today.

I typed a blog post yesterday but it would not publish it?!?

I delivered my final 50 Brochures for Rejuva Spa (a link for the Spa: Pampered) yesterday morning.  I do hope there is a positive response from my  leg work marketing (flyers in post boxes) for my "sister" Elaine's Spa.  I earned a R300 spa voucher for my marketing attempts anyway.  Most of the spa's clients are apparently my neighbour's?  Statistics are that only 10 percent of people reply to brochure ads placed  in their mailbox. (marketing was one of the subjects of the home study diploma I got a distinction for in 2002) So I put 95 of them in boxes - 9 and a half people?  I have yet to see half a person, but like the African saying says, "one day, is one day!", maybe I will see such a person one day?

I am cooking a Chicken Korma Curry recipe for dinner tonight,  It is this week's dish!  I got the recipe from a cooking for the heart cookbook that a nurse at the Clicks store in Melkbostrand, gave me the day before we flew to Amsterdam, in September of this year.  Thank goodness I have never had heart problems before, maybe I looked hassled that day?  (It was free so maybe they printed too many?)  My blood pressure is perfect according to the digital blood pressure monitor that my mom bought in the DE KA  Markt (the Netherlands) recently.

Well, me oh my, I have typed it all, for my blog posts for today and yesterday!  Have a super day further folks and if your final destination on your travels today is Cape Town, well done it was the right choice?

Not too long now and I am 32? eek!

In a knot?

Hi folks!  How is your Thursday?

It is a super sunny and warm day here in Bloubergstrand today.

I have nominated the good and bad service awards for this week.  Exciting No?  Good service needs a mention? So does bad service?

I did some brochure distribution  (all jobs seem to have fancy titles these days?  Does this one sound good?) work today and other than that nothing too exciting!

I started my Ultima Brain Fuel casules today.  They are great.

Romeo (next doors cat) followed me on my garden watering this morning.  This cat really likes me, the feeling is mutual but he does belong to my next door neighbours and he spends all day hanging out at my pad!  I do hope they would't mind.  You can't keep a good cat at home?  They are inqusitive by default?  The other morning he decided to be sick all over a carpet, the down side of pet ownership/visits?

Unfortunaley I have said it all, well for today's blog post anyway!

Have a dapper day further y'all.

Wednesday woes

Hi all!

How is your Wednesday?

It is  hot and sunny but very windy in Bloubergstrand this afternoon.

Well Mitt Romney did not win the US  election.  Well done Obama.  Is it too late to say you were my choice.  Ok so it was Mitt Romney before the results were announced, but we all like to have backed a winner!?!

Bad Service award I have nominated this weeks bad and good customer services for this week.  Doodles Restaurant, here in Bloubergstand, where I and 5 other SLHPS volunteers had lunch today gets a Numpty award for their shocking lunch service this afternoon.  We sat at our table  for an hour and a half before they served us our ordered food today.  A waitress told us we could not walk out after our hour long wait, as that does not happen at Doodles.  "Sorry my dear, but the South African Consumer act says, and rightly so that  we are legally allowed to do so!  We won't be dining there again?  On the plus side I was allowed to order off their R35 Wednesday pensioners menu, this afternoon.  Ask the right person?

Good Service of the week award  This week Snoekies at Eden on the Bay win!  I had a super calamari wrap there, the other day.  It was "D" for delicious?!?

I have said what I came to say today?

Tuesday try me?

Hi all!  How is your Tuesday?  It is a lovely sunny and warm Day here in Bloubergstrand.

I won R35 (3euros) on the South African lottery this weekend, you've got to be in it to win it? or so the saying goes?  I think I have spent it all now?!?  I bought two chocolate bars for my friends, Mavis and Yvonne who are both St. Luke's Hospice Volunteers and both having a birthday tomorrow!  (I do hope that they don't read my blog postings or my little surprise will be a bit like a surprise party you have arranged yourself?  Almost been there and done that!

Genau!  (German for exactly!)
To listen is supposedly better than to keep talking and missing the point of what somebody is trying to say?
I always wake up feeling like this is going to be a great day, but sometimes you find you lied to yourself?  Oh well!?!
